Associate Attorney

Position Overview:

The Meier Law Firm, PLLC, a well-established, woman-owned boutique law firm located in Latham, New York, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our dedicated team. We are committed to providing exceptional legal services to our diverse clientele in the areas of elder law, estate and trust planning, Medicaid planning, guardianships, corporate law, real estate, and business succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality legal counsel.

  • Manage a caseload independently, while working collaboratively with other attorneys and support team.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and external partners, providing clear, empathetic guidance.

  • Contribute to the firm’s development by providing ideas for practice expansion.

Additional Qualifications

  • Admitted to practice law in New York State.

  • At least 2 years of experience in one or more of the firm’s practice areas or a complementary area of law.

  • Litigation experience is a plus but not required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a self-motivated, client-centered approach.
